Guangzhou Tianhe District China Walking Tour (2019) is a video recording of my walk in Guangzhou, China with no talking. I highly recommend using headphones to experience 3D environment sounds as I recorded with binaural microphones. ➥➥➥ SUBSCRIBE FOR MORE VIDEOS ➥➥➥ My channel regularly publishes walking tours (with no talking) of my walks in various countries and if don't want to miss any videos: Subscribe ⇢ Location of Walk: Guangzhou Tianhe Info: Tianhe District (Chinese: 天河区) is one of the eleven districts of Guangzhou, the capital of Guangdong province. In Chinese, the name Tianhe literally means "a river in the sky/heavens", which is also a Chinese name for the Milky Way. It is bordered by Yuexiu District on the west, Baiyun District on the north and Huangpu District on the east. Haizhu District is on its south, though they are separated by the Pearl River. Tianhe became a district in the 1980s as the city expanded its size. Back then, it was east of Dongshan District (which was merged into Yuexiu in 2005) and it was more suburban-like if not rural like. Even though a majority of colleges and universities in the city were located in the district, the rest of the district was mostly composed of rice fields. Symbolic landmarks of Guangzhou located in Tianhe District are Citic Plaza, Guangzhou International Finance Center, Guangzhou Opera House, and the Guangdong Museum. The 6th and 9th of The National Games of the People's Republic of China and the 2010 Asian Games were also held in Tianhe District, Guangzhou. Contacts: Instagram: @alanchuatravels

I have been watching some street videos about China, and your videos have awesome quality! It is way better than VisualJ Walks. China video.
Discovery Walking Tours TV 28.09.2019 16:31
Thanks KJ. I do watch some of VisualJ's works and his videos do give insight to how China is like. It's just a different style of filming and I am sure he has his own group of fans. Hopefully our videos help in showing the world how the cities in China are like

For a relatively new company, its has an extremely huge footprint in China. I think they opened more outlets in the last 2 years than Starbucks did in 20 years. Burn cash strategy to compete on mass, I hope they survive and give Starbucks a run for its money

never been to Guangzhou so pretty interesting to see the people and their way of life
Discovery Walking Tours TV 28.06.2019 09:29
yeah. The city is especially prosperous and very well developed. I dare say their way of life might be soo much more advanced than us.

Wow so nice to see someone else filming China!! I have searched up and down YouTube and have yet to find someone. Great video. Guangzhou is one of the few Chinese megacities I haven't been to, though I've heard it's a great place. Keep up the great work!
Discovery Walking Tours TV 27.06.2019 07:55
It's definitely a bustling place and one of the gateways to China from the south. But I'm sure you already know that since you been working in Wuxi for awhile After visiting Guangzhou, I'm kind of itching to go back to Beijing and Shanghai to film the big ones

I just find this fascinating. There are so many cities of millions of people in China that we Americans know almost nothing about. So cool to get this window into another country's way of life. Thanks so much. -Henry

@City Walks The negative stuff isn't all just made up. A lot of it is true. I live here and see it every day.

@City Walks The Earth needs more understanding and thoughtful people like you Henry. Thanks for sharing your thoughts. I will aspire to show more China videos in the coming months

@Discovery Walking Tours TV Yes, Fox news has a definite view. But like you say, we are all human, and all humans vary. I also think we want the basic things. Safety and health for our families and opportunities to succeed. I'd love to come to China someday and see it for myself. Until then, I will watch your vids. :-) -Henry
Discovery Walking Tours TV 27.06.2019 07:53
I'm thankful you are keeping an open mind about the China Chinese. I don't know how the American media is painting them over there. Based on the Fox news stuff that I'm seeing on YouTube, it's usually negative views. Hopefully people around the world can see how they live, work and play, and understand they are just like anyone of us

kerry lin 26.06.2019 15:55
thanks interesting sights; noticed some guys carry umbrellas, a little unusual sight & a lot of honking of car horns, child strollers no over head covers ?
bldomain 23.07.2019 01:55
kerry lin if you think they honk a lot then this will blow your mind
Discovery Walking Tours TV 27.06.2019 07:45
Wow! The things that catch your eye is totally different from me. I don't really notice this kind of stuff. When I went into the city it was experiencing a bit of a thunderstorm. I just it's socially accepted for men to carry umbrellas over there? China does have a lot of car honking, but I believe it's more to alert other people that their vehicle is there (this is what I feel). Its not really a honk of irritation or malice.

@Discovery Walking Tours TV Yeah most probably!
Discovery Walking Tours TV 26.06.2019 15:42
I can only imagine how things were like in 2005. I am sure everything here would be mostly new to you
Ambient Walking 26.06.2019 12:35
@Discovery Walking Tours TV The first time I visited was in 2005... wa so long ago.
Discovery Walking Tours TV 26.06.2019 12:21
I love this city. I think I visited it 4 times in the past 2 years. I remembered visiting it way back in 2013 and every time I come back it's like another skyscraper, highway or train line is completed
Discovery Walking Tours TV 26.06.2019 12:10
Hi friends. This is Alan from Discovery Walking Tours TV. I recently visited the megacity of Guangzhou and I had a real blast recording the sights and sounds. I travelled to many parts of China during the last 2 years and have personally seen the huge changes. I think there are a lot of "misinformation" about how the country is like, and I hope with these videos, people will be more well informed and will be able to see the country for what is it. I used binaural microphones to record the environmental sounds. So if you have a pair of headphones, do use them, it will be quite an immersive experience If you notice any interesting points in the video or want to ask about something that was caught on camera, comment with a time stamp (eg 00:01) and I will be sure to check it out. I am also interested to know where you are from so drop a comment below and say hi! If you are keen to see more of Guangzhou, check out my playlist below:
